With over 40 years of guiding experience, Bernie Waddington has led hunters from around the globe to successful and memorable hunts. His calm assurance and deep knowledge make every outing a rewarding adventure.
Born in Beverly, SK, Bernie now calls Simmie, SK home, where APEX Outfitters is based. He’s lived in various locations across Southwest Saskatchewan and British Columbia, but his passion for hunting has always remained constant.
Bernie’s love for the outdoors has even taken him across the globe, including an African safari hunt, and he’s planning his next big adventure to New Zealand with his son, Brandon, to explore the country’s hunting opportunities.

Meet Brandon Waddington – Expert River Fishing & Hunting Guide
Brandon Waddington is the expert River Fishing Guide behind South Country Adventures, the sister company of APEX Outfitters. Having fished since he could walk, Brandon thrives on the challenge of reeling in big catches and sharing his passion for the sport.
Born and raised in Southwest Saskatchewan, Brandon brings over 20 years of river fishing and guiding experience, along with a deep knowledge of the area’s hidden honey holes to ensure every excursion is a success.
In addition to his fishing expertise, Brandon is well-versed in migratory and upland bird hunting, combining his skills with a unique sense of humor to create a fun and memorable experience for every outing.
